The brilliant score is full of changes in metre, typically Spanish rhythms and contrasts of sound colour. The first movement is based on the dance, known a s'Jotai.' The second, contrasting movement is based on the "Fandango." The composition is constructed according to the classical pattern: fast - slow - fast.
